Our projects
In Ostoja Natury, we create the agricultural ecosystem of tomorrow. This is a reference farm model – a smart village, where we produce the highest quality food and then distribute it without intermediaries. Each of the projects that make up our cooperative, in an innovative and at the same time compatible with traditional solutions and environmentally beneficial way, contributes to the construction of a waste-free and very effective ecosystem, as well as helping other farmers and building ecological awareness in the society.
The projects implemented by Ostoja Natury consist of five of our “Farms”.
Classic organic farming
Vegetables on elevated beds grow much faster, thanks to higher humidity, better heating of the substrate, and the decomposition of organic matter allows for earlier cultivation, which extends the growing season. The use of a weed seed-free substrate means that you hardly need to weed them. In addition, the ground in the boxes is not trampled, which makes it more breathable.
It is a very convenient solution when we grow many different vegetables with completely different fertilization requirements. The soil in the box can be replaced at any time, thanks to which we can easily avoid diseases and soil pests.
Fish farming
As part of the educational activities carried out by Ostoja Natury, webinars, workshops, lectures and other more practical forms of education take place. We have also created the Ostoja Natury TV channel on the YouTube platform, where we share our knowledge and insights, as well as broadcast recorded lectures and run a Vlog.

Plant nursery
An important part of the entire agricultural production process in Ostoja Natury is nursery – a department of horticulture and forestry dealing with the reproduction and cultivation of seedlings of trees, shrubs, vegetables and herbs in the initial period of life. Our goal is to protect ecological genetic material so as to provide ourselves and our partners with seeds and seedlings of vegetables and fruit of the highest quality.
Bees and honey
The place where Ostoja Natury is located is an excellent place for bees. Due to our organic farming of buckwheat, sweet clover, fresh cereals and many varieties of fruit and vegetables, for which the presence of bees is essential, we established our own apiary.
Our bees obtain nectar, bee pollen and fall from plants occurring in the natural environment, away from agglomerations and industrial centers. We use the innovative Flow Hives system, which allows you to collect honey straight from the hive and is stress-free for the bees. It is enough to unscrew the tap installed in the hive, and fresh honey is poured straight into the jar – a real “honey from a stick”.
Our cooperatives include beekeepers who are eager to share their knowledge, so that each of our members can start their adventure with beekeeping.
Preparations
The taste of home-made jam or freshly squeezed juice from fruit growing in your home garden evoke the best childhood memories. Many recipes of our mothers and grandmothers are irretrievably gone with the passing of older generations.
One of Ostoja’s goals is to save these recipes and use them to bring delicious and natural preserves and fresh juices from organic fruit growing on our farm back to the tables.
The most important challenges of the Innovation Farm
Our main challenge is to create a program for farms with an area of less than 100 hectares (there are over 700 thousand of them in Poland), enabling the transformation of conventional to ecological production, characterized by high product quality while minimizing negative effects on the natural environment.
The Ostoi Natury – Wioska 3.0 program assumes the preparation of complete know-how regarding the main aspects of the functioning of an organic farm, such as:
- production methods adapted to soil and climatic conditions,
- a set of technological solutions
- offer of an optimal machine park
- robotization and automation of agricultural production and processing processes
- building a modern distribution platform enabling interaction with customers and direct sales
- access to the seed bank (BIO seed)
- construction of a model, self-sufficient, waste-free habitat for rural farms
- developing a proven and working business model
Our model assumes building a group of independent producers and cooperatives based on a common platform of knowledge sharing activities, which include: distribution, communication, technology, knowledge bases and a seed bank.
